Samy is a genderqueer Puerto Rican-Dominican writer, poet, speaker, artist, and advocate. Their debut book, CuirDoRican: Between Queer and Latine (SDJ Press) explores themes of identity, healing, and empowerment. Samy has worked or appeared in The New York Times, Vogue, and many other outlets, and their focuses on amplifying LGBTQ+ and Latine voices, and social justice.
